English Culture Circle: Far West

The English Culture Circle is heading out to the Wild West. A Wild West inspired by Italo-spaghetti Westerns and the novels of Karl May. A ballet that fulfills all the expected clichés: gunslingers, loose women and morally ambiguous characters.

Wild West ballet with the English Culture Circle

The ballet Far West is specially created for the Gärtnerplatztheater and is a worldwide premiere. Mattia Russo and Antonio de Rosa of Kor'sia choreograph their own Wild West together with the ballet company. They immerse the audiences in glorified western clichés of the last frontier.

The honky tonk piano in the saloon, whisky glasses on the bar, good-lookin' saloon girls and gunslingers at high noon, the gold prospectors and miners – and the outlaws who stole and fought for the common folk. Legends such as Billy the Kid and Jesse James who stood by their own morals and challenged the wealthy and powerful. Join us for an evening of dance and a sense of adventure to popular and unknown Western melodies and please leave guns and holsters at home.
